Andre's paintings are about the importance of light and clear water for seagrass survival. She depict the sensations of life within seagrass beds; the energy, the movement, the seemingly haphazard logic of things. Everything begins with color — there is no hierarchical structure or lines to follow. One relationship connects with another without a beginning or an end. Through her art, Andre brings attention to the importance of seagrass in the survival of endangered marine sea life.
