Andre's paintings are about the importance of light and clear water for seagrass survival. She depict the sensations of life within seagrass beds; the energy, the movement, the seemingly haphazard logic of things. Everything begins with color — there is no hierarchical structure or lines to follow. One relationship connects with another without a beginning or an end. Through her art, Andre brings attention to the importance of seagrass in the survival of endangered marine sea life.

Nedret Andre’s solo shows include Artlery, BU, Stetson Gallery, Touch Gallery, Ataturk Cultural Center, Hourglass Gallery, and Local Colors. Group shows include Walsingham Gallery, Carole Calo Gallery, Soprafina Gallery, Kingston Gallery, and Danforth Museum.
