After an incredible six months, the 2017 SoWa Open Market season is coming to a close this weekend, October 28 & 29. The SoWa Team is lucky to work with amazing vendors all season, including the Herb Lyceum.
Our weekends simply would not be the same without the family farm led by David Gilson. Each Saturday and Sunday morning, the team arrives at the market with an abundance of fresh herb plants and vegetables, plus a variety of herbal products like tea, honey, and salt blends to spice up your cooking. Grab one of their homemade sandwiches around lunchtime for a quality fresh meal. If you are feeling extra peckish, add a yummy barley or white bean salad.
On top of being SoWa regulars, the Herb Lyceum opens up their grounds as a space for special gatherings. Their property in Groton has a carriage house, a farmhouse, and plenty of outdoor space perfect for an anniversary event, a rehearsal dinner, or family reunion. To make the experience even better, their chef will do all the cooking while you relax on the beautiful grounds! If you want to pay them a visit, venture to their farm for a four course prix-fixe dinner any Friday or Saturday from April through October. Read more about the Herb Lyceum here.
We are so lucky to have the Herb Lyceum at our market... and so are you! This year they will be providing pumpkins for the free pumpkin painting booth at this year's SoWa Spooktacular. Come on down and celebrate the end of this incredible season with Herb Lyceum and our many other fantastic artists, farmers, and food trucks!
The final 2017 SoWa Open Market weekend takes place on October 28 - 29, 10 am - 4 pm.
