SoWa Spotlight: Ser Verde

The SoWa husband and wife team behind the handcrafted shoe company, Ser Verde, has made their imprint on many Boston feet. Inspired by handcrafted shoes they came across in Spain, the couple aspires to provide men, women, and children with a comfortable shoe that provides its wearer a stylish flair.

After launching their company in the Spring of 2016 at the SoWa Open Market, Ser Verde soon began expanding their inventory to include several styles of shoes. The very popular espadrilles are handmade in Rioja and the fashion forward menorquina sandal is made in Menorca. To top off their amazing business, all products made by Ser Verde are eco-friendly. The rubber and Jute Soles come from trees and the linen and cotton are organic.

With a studio at SoWa's 46 Waltham, Ser Verde's success certainly has not gone unnoticed. The company has been written up by Improper Bostonian, the Boston Herald, and in several blogs. The shoes are sold in New England stores including Calypso in St. Barth, Holiday Boutique in Beacon Hill, Sara Campbell at several of their locations, and Skinny Dip in Nantucket. Amy and Chris are SoWa Open Market frequenters and have a large following of shoe models in the SoWa neighborhood, including many SoWa market vendors and organizers - I just bought my first pair this weekend!

We are constantly impressed with this young company's innovations and cannot wait to see what designs and patterns this team produces next. Visit their booth at SoWa to pick up a pair of end of season sale sandals or a pair of espadrilles from their new Fall collection! Amy and Chris will also be at their studio this Saturday and Sunday (September 16 & September 17) for The South End Open Studios. Stop by and show them some love at 46 Waltham St. Suite 314!

When they’re here: September 17, September 24, October 1, October 8, October 15, October 22, and October 29!
