Join The Trustees for the 24th annual South End Garden Tour, featuring the Eight Streets, Union Park, Old Dover, and SoWa corners of the neighborhood in what the National Register of Historic Places describes as ‘the country’s largest urban Victorian neighborhood in the country.’ The tree-lined streets with iron railings, private gardens, and small green parks are home to many artists, galleries, and eateries.
The tour will begins at The Berkeley Community Garden (corner of Tremont & East Berkeley) and features a robust mix of private backyard gardens, small pocket parks, and some interesting green spaces and courtyards in the Union Park, Eight Streets, Old Dover, and SoWa corners of the neighborhood.
Artists will be painting ‘en plain aire' in the gardens this year and the tour will be followed by a reception and sale of their wet works. Admission to the reception and sale is included in the tour admission.
Advance tickets are $24 for Trustees members and $30 for nonmembers. Same day tickets are $28 for Trustees members and $35 for nonmembers. Visit thetrustees.org for more information.
