Music Lineup: SoWa Winter Festival

This year's SoWa Winter Festival is featuring live music by four incredible groups. Take a look.

Night Tree, Saturday 11:30 am - 1:30 pm, 2:00 pm - 4 pm. WGBH calls them "One of the most exciting roots-based music groups to emerge from the New England Conservatory in many years." The sextet of conservatory-trained musicians attracts dramatic attention not only for an abnormal instrumentation of two fiddles, cello, accordion, saxophone, percussion, voice, and the occasional viola and mandolin, but for a collective representation and incorporation of traditions from Irish, Classical, Swedish, Jazz, Klezmer, and Afro-Cuban music. Quite simply, they're a joy to watch.

Songful Artists, Saturday 5 pm - 7 pm. Back for a second year, Songful Artists is passionate about keeping the arts alive. They specialize in holiday and year round entertainment in New England and New York.

Sound Off, Sunday 12 pm - 2 pm. Formed in 2013, Sound Off is an award-winning semi-professional a cappella group based in Boston. They are young men and women from all different career fields brought together by an unabashed love for a cappella music and performance. While they perform regularly around the Greater Boston area, Sound Off continues to develop a diverse repertoire of modern pop with a soulful twist.

Alissa Musto, Sunday 2 pm  - 4 pm. Alissa Musto is an incredible pianist and singer. She began performing professionally at the age of 15, and has since performed around New England at venues including the House of Blues, the Lowell Memorial Auditorium, the Massachusetts State House and the Veteran's Memorial Auditorium, where she opened for jazz legend, Wynton Marsalis. Listen to "Black Flak" from her debut album, “What We Saw From the Piano Bar.”
