SoWa Artist Studios

A Place To Create

SoWa hosts two large artist studio buildings in the SoWa Art + Design District of Boston. The largest and most well-known is 450 Harrison Ave, where First Friday takes place each month. With 3 floors of artist studios and nearly 100 spaces ranging in size from 400-1400 square feet, 450 Harrison offers a density of working artists and the notoriety that accompanies it.

46 Waltham St, on the other hand, is a more private building located a few blocks north at the edge of SoWa. A few dozen artist studios ranging from 400-1200 square feet nestled around a brick courtyard is the perfect setting for the working artist, architect or designer. Both buildings participate in Open Studios and Art Walk each year.
